TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL BLOGGING

Blogging is all the rage these days for many different
reasons. For one thing, it's a lot of fun to be able to
express your opinions about something or share information
with people all over the world. You also have to remember
that the people who visit your blog are often ready and
willing to spend money! Use these 5 ways to cash in with
your blog to add some padding to your wallet.

Cash Tip #1: Put Your Ads Where People Can See Them

Bloggers often make the mistake of slipping a tiny
affiliate link in somewhere on the blog. These will rarely
get found and clicked on! Now, you don't want to be
annoying with your ads, but if you have found something
that is relevant there is no reason not to display it
proudly so your visitors see it and click on it. It's hard
to make money if no one knows you are selling something.

Cash Tip #2: Build a List

Focus on building a list of people who are interested in
your niche topic. That way you can tell them when you
create new blog posts and let them know about special
offers you think would be of interest.

Cash Tip #3: Sell Advertising

Once you get to a relatively high level of traffic it's a
great idea to sell advertising spots. Companies are ready
and willing to spend money on this form of advertisement
and you can often make more with these direct deals than
you can by going through an affiliate organization that
takes a cut.

Cash Tip #4: Create a Product

After you've had your blog running for a while you'll
hopefully have developed a loyal following. People see you
as an expert in your niche and they want to hear more of
what you have to say. A great way to cash in on this is to
create your own ebook, videos, audio, or a combination.
This is easier to do than you think, and you can have a
great, passive income once the product creation phase is
over.

Finally, you've made the decision to become a blogger, you
need to figure out what your blog is going to be about! It
can seem like an impossible choice since there are so many
topics out there. Luckily, there are some easy ways you can
narrow the choice down. It's important to like the niche and
know that it's possible to earn a good income from it.

Step One: Brainstorm Ideas

First you've got to get some ideas! Don't worry -- you
don't have to think of them all on your own. You can browse
through magazine stands, look through online forum sites,
browse the categories at sites like Amazon, etc.

For now, write down anything that sounds like a great
blogging niche. There will be time to perfect this choice
later. Keep the idea that you want to be able to have
plenty to write about and that it needs to be easily
monetized in the back of your mind.

Step Two: Narrow it Down and Do Some Research

There are bound to be some potential niche topics that you
like more than other ones. Choose the three you think have
the most potential.

Now, you're going to do some searches in Google to see if
there are already blogs and sites set up in each niche.

Also, pay close attention to the ads that appear on the
right hand side of the search results in Google. If that
niche's keywords are showing a lot of ads, the chances are
that it's profitable.

Step Three: Choose Your Niche!

The final thing you need to do as part of choosing your
niche is narrow things down a little bit. As you can
imagine, something like "parenting" is a huge niche. It
will be awfully hard to rank for such a general niche.

One good idea is to choose a smaller subset of that niche.
You might do first time mothers. You could even break it
down even more into something like "first time Christian
mothers."

You just need to be sure it will a topic you're interested
in blogging about and that you can easily monetize. Browse
through sites like Clickbank.com, CJ.com, and others to
make sure there are monetization options.

If you follow the important principles that are found
within these steps it will be easier than ever for you to
choose a niche to blog about.

Don't get too caught up in the details and try to perfect
the decision, however, because then you'll never get
started. There are literally thousands (if not millions) of
great niches out there that you can earn a good income from.

BLOG FOR A LIVING

What is a blog?

CLICK HERE ON THE SIDEBAR FOR MORE INFORMATION

A blog (a contraction of the term "weblog")[1] is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.
There is a massive use for blog, others use it for bad and others for good, depending on the bloggers’ intentions. It is not my intention to criticize which of the millions of blogs present in the internet are bad and which are good. My intention is to present the beauty and goodness of blogging. Can we use blogging to make an honest living? Blogging without pulling other people legs down. Here is the positive outlook of blogging. Blog if it is use in a proper way can provide the blogger the opportunity to make thousands if not hundreds of dollars from the blog site.
An Open Income Opportunity for Bloggers
Admittedly, I have not explored exhaustively the full potential of blogging for money. But with my limited experience with it I already wet my feet with it and I can sincerely say that don’t have yet a reason to quit because I see that my income from blogging is improving everyday. Here is how I started. I tried to learn from the “professional bloggers.” I started with the book by J. S. McDougall, Blogging Business,

Darren Rowse and Chris Garrett, Blogger-Secrets-Blogging-Six-Figure-Income

Blogging for Dummies by Susannah Gardner and Shane Birley

And Ted Demopoulos, Secrets of Successful Blogging
.
There are ways to blog: through a free hosted web or s self-hosted web. To have a feel of what it is to run a blog, you may start with free hosted webs. Problem these free hosted blog is there is limitation on what you can do. So after soaking yourself with these free hosted webs, you may want to promote yourself with self hosted websites where you have a lot of freedom in what you want to do.
